The batteries from different manufacturers and different battery types can differ significantly in terms of capacity, range and handling.
Before buying an e-bike, you should therefore obtain comprehensive information not only about the motors, but also about the batteries. We answer the most important questions and present the batteries from the largest manufacturers Bosch and Shimano.
Bosch batteries
Bosch batteries are an efficient and long-lasting source of energy. Thanks to their enormous mileage, long service life and intelligent battery management system, Bosch lithium-ion batteries are among the most modern on the market. Bosch eBike batteries combine low weight with ergonomic design and easy handling. The battery management system of the high-quality lithium-ion batteries recognises potential sources of error and protects the cells from overloading. There is a suitable battery for every requirement and every type of eBike, from the pannier rack version to the frame battery and the integrable solution. DualBattery is perfect for touring bikers, long-distance commuters or cargo cyclists. The combination of two Bosch batteries delivers up to 1,250 watt hours.

For long journeys: A PowerPack 500 is hardly any heavier than a PowerPack 400 of the same size and enables longer ranges for longer tours. Available as a frame or pannier rack battery.

For the extra round: With the energy of the PowerPack 400 (as a frame or rack battery) you can spontaneously explore new routes, visit friends or run errands.

Shimano batteries
No compromises. Riding characteristics are Shimano's top priority. The new generation of SHIMANO STEPS MTB motors has made it possible to develop a customised energy system (Tailored Energy System) for your needs.
