THE THRILL OF FEELING LIKE A HERO EVERY TIME YOU GO FOR A RIDE

The Dusty X Unlimited Gulf Edition is limited to an edition of only 50 pieces worldwide. Each one has been hand-painted with the utmost care, leaving no detail untouched and carefully incorporating the textures and colours of the racing suits worn by the Gulf riders over thousands of miles and laps.

Each of the 50 bikes comes with its individual production number as well as orange and blue livery and a fascinating book. A book that expresses the passion of both brands, the racing heritage of Gulf and the colours that are now also part of the legacy of the Mondraker Dusty X.

They were the heroes who took us on a journey through petrol and asphalt, driving race cars that revved at more than 8000 rpm. Machines that combined the cutting-edge technology of the 70s with sublime craftsmanship, hand welding and the magnificent fibreglass bodies that encased the hugely powerful V12 engines and transformed them into works of art. All anchored in a rigid aluminium chassis designed to withstand unimaginable loads. Those were different times. Times that we miss.

Back then, being a racing driver meant being a hero. By default. The razor-sharp character of the cars they drove made them such. Well, cars for want of a better word. Ultra-light, extravagant, dangerous and precious all at the same time, they were extremely powerful machines with no electronic aids to mask the shortcomings of the hero of the day. Hundreds of horsepower, tamed by the hands of people who turned into heroes as soon as they put on their helmets.

The Dusty X Unlimited Gulf Edition is made from our high-quality Stealth Air carbon fibre and features a Mahle X20 hub motor and an internal 350 Wh battery (compatible with an additional 172 Wh range extender).

To match the racing spirit of the Dusty X Unlimited even better with the asphalt jungle you'll be riding on every day, we've integrated aluminium mudguards that match the colour scheme of the frame, as well as fast-rolling Maxxis Re-Fuse 700x40c semi-slick tyres.

The Dusty X Unlimited Gulf Edition is based on our Dusty RX model and has been enhanced with important, specific upgrades. The carbon fibre handlebar comes from the ONOFF S9 series and is supplied with silicone grips, Mavic supplies the Cosmic SL carbon fibre wheels with 45 mm profile and SRAM the Force AXS drivetrain with carbon fibre cranks.

The Dusty X Unlimited Gulf Edition is our second Unlimited Gulf Edition model after the Neat Unlimited Gulf Edition.

Safety information for bicycles, e-bikes and children's bicycles

The safe and long-term use of bicycles, e-bikes and children's bicycles requires careful checks, regular maintenance and proper handling. These instructions provide you with practical recommendations for safe use and should be followed in conjunction with the operating instructions of the respective manufacturer.

1. Safety checks before riding

The following checks should be carried out before every journey:

Brakes and steering: Test the functionality of the brakes and ensure that the steering is smooth and stable.

Tyres and wheels: Check that the tyres are correctly inflated and that the wheels and quick-release skewers are secure.

Fastenings: Check that attachments such as mudguards, pannier racks, saddle and pedals are securely fastened.

Accessories and load: Ensure that luggage and accessories are correctly fitted and that the permitted load capacity is not exceeded.

2. Technical safety and authorised use

Component inspection: Regularly inspect safety-relevant components such as the frame, fork, handlebars, seat post and brakes for damage. Do not use the bike if there are visible defects.

Maximum load capacity: Observe the weight limits for the total weight (bike, rider, payload and trailer, if applicable). The details can be found in the manufacturer's information.

Proper use: Only use the bike or e-bike within the scope of the intended use category. Improper use leads to safety risks.

Accessories and modifications: Only use approved accessories such as child seats or trailers and do not make any unauthorised modifications, especially to the drive system of e-bikes.

3. Special instructions for e-bikes

Battery and charging process:

Only use batteries and chargers approved by the manufacturer.

Charge the battery in a safe place and in accordance with the temperature specifications.

Remove the battery before transporting the e-bike.

Electric assistance:

Familiarise yourself with the assistance modes and the pushing aid. Test the e-bike in a safe environment first, especially with different loads or difficult ground conditions.

Running in the disc brakes:

Run in new brakes before your first big ride to ensure optimum braking performance.

Transport specifications:

Observe the manufacturer's instructions and legal regulations when transporting.

4. Special safety rules for children's bikes

Duty of supervision: Children may only use bicycles under the supervision of a responsible person.

Suitable size and equipment: Make sure that the bike is age-appropriate and that all safety devices (e.g. brakes, reflectors, chain guard) are intact.

Loading and accessories: Attach child seats and pannier racks securely and ensure that the load capacity is not exceeded.

5. Care and maintenance

Cleaning: Use a soft cloth and mild cleaning agents. Avoid high-pressure cleaners to prevent damage to electrical and mechanical components.

Regular inspections: Schedule regular maintenance at a qualified specialist company to check for wear and ensure safety.

Spare parts: Only use original or approved spare parts to maintain the functionality of the bike.

6. Behaviour after the ride

Documenting damage: In the event of recognisable damage or malfunctions, the bike must not be used any further. Have it checked by a specialised company.

Avoid hot components: Avoid contact with heated components such as brake discs or drive units to prevent burns.
