Maximum e-bike safety thanks to new ABS

Sporty and safe at the same time - the FUTURA MAX I-10 ABS offers an outstanding e-bike experience combined with the latest generation of Bosch ABS technology. Equipped to a high standard down to the last detail, the power of the Bosch Performance Line CX drive combined with the sporty transmission of the 10-speed Shimano Deore gears meets the ABS discreetly installed on the fork. Thanks to clever brake force control, the e-bike remains controllable even during emergency braking and in tricky riding situations, while at the same time preventing the rear wheel from lifting off the ground. Combined with other highlights such as the Kiox 300 display, the comfortable parallelogram seat post and the stem that can be adjusted in seconds, this is the highest level of technology and equipment.

  • Bosch anti-lock braking system of the latest generation
  • powerful Bosch Performance Line CX drive (Smart System)

2 Security

2.1 Residual risks

2.1.1 Fire hazard

2.1.1.1 Hot brakes

The brakes can become very hot during operation. Contact with them can result in burns or fire.

Never touch the brakes or the motor directly after driving.

Never place the bike on a flammable surface (grass, wood, etc.) immediately after riding.

2.1.2 Risk of falling

2.1.2.1 Incorrect adjustment of the quick-release skewer

Excessive tensioning force damages the quick release, causing it to lose its function. Insufficient clamping force leads to an unfavourable application of force. This can cause components to break. This can result in a fall and injuries.

Never use a tool (e.g. hammer or pliers) to fasten a quick release.

Only use clamping levers with the correct clamping force setting.

2.1.2.2 Incorrect tightening torque

If a screw is tightened too tightly, it can break. If a screw is tightened too loosely, it can come loose. This can result in a fall and injuries.

Always observe the tightening torque specified on the screw or in the instructions.

2.1.3 Risk of amputation

The brake disc of the disc brake is so sharp that it can cause serious injuries to fingers if they get caught in the openings of the brake disc.

Always keep fingers away from rotating brake discs.

2.2 Toxic substances

2.2.1 Brake fluid

Brake fluid can escape as a result of an accident or material fatigue. The brake fluid can be fatal if swallowed or inhaled.

Never dismantle the brake system.

Avoid skin contact.

Do not inhale vapours.

2.2.2 Suspension oil

The suspension oil in the rear shock and the fork irritates the respiratory tract, leads to mutagenic germ cells and sterility, causes cancer and is toxic on contact.

Never disassemble the rear shock or the suspension fork.

Avoid skin contact.

2.3 Rider requirements

The physical, motor and mental abilities of the rider must be sufficient for participation in road traffic.

2.4 Vulnerable groups:

If the bicycle is used by minors, a parent or guardian must instruct children thoroughly.

2.5 Personal protective equipment

Wear a suitable safety helmet, sturdy shoes and long, close-fitting clothing for protection.

2.6 Safety markings and safety instructions

These safety markings and safety instructions are located on the type plate of the pedelec and battery pack:

2.7 Behaviour in an emergency

2.7.1 Dangerous situations in road traffic

Use the brakes to slow the bicycle to a standstill in all road traffic hazards.

2.7.2 Leaking brake fluid

If brake fluid leaks, the brake system must be repaired immediately. Dispose of leaking brake fluid in an environmentally friendly manner and in accordance with legal regulations.

Remove the affected person from the danger zone and take them out into the fresh air.

Never leave affected persons unattended.

Immediately remove any clothing contaminated with brake fluid.

Never inhale vapours. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Wear gloves and safety goggles for protection.

Keep unprotected persons away.

Be aware of the risk of slipping due to leaking brake fluid.

Keep open flames, hot surfaces and ignition sources away from leaking brake fluid.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

After inhalation

Supply fresh air. Consult a doctor immediately if symptoms occur.

After skin contact

Wash affected skin with soap and water and rinse thoroughly. Remove contaminated clothing. Consult a doctor if symptoms occur.

After eye contact

Rinse opened eye for at least 10 minutes under running water, also under the eyelids. If symptoms occur, consult an ophthalmologist immediately.

After swallowing

Rinse mouth with water. Never cause vomiting. Danger of aspiration!

If a person vomits and is lying on their back, place them in the recovery position. Seek medical attention immediately.

Environmental protection measures

Never allow brake fluid to enter the sewage system, bodies of water or groundwater.

Inform the relevant authorities in the event of penetration into the ground, watercourses or the sewerage system.

If symptoms occur due to combustion gases or escaping fluids, consult a doctor immediately.
