ASSOS EQUIPE RS Rain Jacket EVO

With the original EQUIPE RS rain jacket, we practically reinvented rain jackets. No longer did we have to resort to wind jackets or overly large winter gear, as the EQUIPE RS was designed with a super lightweight, stretchy and waterproof shell material that complemented our aerodynamic race jersey underneath. A truly impressive protective shell that left nothing to be desired. So why make changes to such a good product? We didn't - we just upgraded the jacket with a few features to make it even better able to withstand the conditions on the road. First of all, the EVO rain jacket is now available in the new "fluoYellow" colour combination. This makes you much more visible to other road users on dark and stormy days. Like the original, it retains the racingFit and is made with Schloss Tex, our race-proven, waterproof 3L softshell material developed in the laboratory. Thanks to its three-layer moisture-absorbing membrane and flexible, breathable composition, Schloss Tex offers unrivalled all-round protection. At only 170 g, it also has a pocket on the back that is so imperceptible that the jacket still resembles the usual feather-light wind jackets. This jacket incorporates many elements of our legendary sturmPrinz, such as sealed arm and neck cuffs to minimise chafing and the popular pocket slits that allow you to access the pockets of the jersey you're wearing underneath. We've also reworked the 2-way zip and equipped the jacket with a more robust, glove-friendly version, giving you the option of top or bottom ventilation. Other revisions include a new waterBlock hem that repels water and ensures a secure fit without slipping, as well as a striking reflective logo on the reflective strip on the back.

• Schloss Tex: Our lightest three-layer waterproof softshell material. Stretchy, extremely comfortable and very easy to fold up for storage, with a moisture-absorbing membrane. Weight: 90 g/m2; Breathability: MVTR=27,000 g/m2/24 h; Water column: > 10,000 mm; Elasticity: 2-sided stretch.
• Reflection: A reflective strip on the back of the jacket makes you more visible in poor light and extreme weather conditions.
• Pocket slits: Two openings at the lower back allow you to reach the pockets of your jersey or jacket and let air in at the same time.
• Taped seams: The taped seams on the front and back, shoulders and zip further enhance the jacket's water-repellent properties.
• Extended back section: The extended back section protects your lower back from splashing water and dirt.
• waterBlock hem: Thanks to the silicone dots on the inside, which guarantee a secure hold, you can defy wind and weather, while sealed silicone on the outside allows water to roll off.
• 2-way zip: simply add air at the top or bottom. A robust design with enlarged zips for intuitive, glove-friendly handling.
• DWR coating: This model has a durable water repellent (DWR) coating so that wind and weather really can't harm you.
• racingFit: A fit that is narrower and offers slightly more compression than our regularFit and comfortFit versions. It can feel restrictive out of the riding position, but fits like a second skin while riding. This results in improved comfort and less drag.
