The Bordo 6000A/90 with security level 10 out of 15 is both a classic and an innovation in equal measure. With 5 mm thick steel bars and extra soft 2-component coating to protect against damage to paintwork, the locks in the BORDO™ family are unique in their features. The alarm function, which is at least 100 dB loud, emits a signal for 20 seconds and then re-arms itself.

This is sure to deter bike thieves: In addition to the highly secure mechanism that characterises the folding locks in the ABUS BORDO range, the BORDO™ Alarm 6000A is the world's first folding lock to report attempted attacks at a volume of 100 dB. This is made possible by the intelligent "3D Position Detection" motion sensor technology, which recognises the smallest movements in all three dimensions. The sensor system of the BORDO™ Alarm 6000A is able to distinguish between picking attempts and small vibrations that are triggered, for example, when connecting the door or by a football - the lock then only emits a short warning tone, but does not trigger an alarm. Acoustic signals also make it possible to check the battery and activity status.
